Grab & Go Craft Kits Tuesday, April 6, 4 PM Everyone can get crafty with our Grab & Go Craft Kits! Kits are available for children, teens, and adults. All kits contain the instructions and most supplies needed to create a nature- inspired craft. Quantities are limited. Book Bundle Bonanza Friday, April 9, 4 PM Find new favorites with our children's book bundles! Each book bundle contains a variety of books, activities, and crafts based on a surprise theme, all hand-selected by your favorite librarians. One book bundle per family. You need a library card to check out a book bundle. Virtual Video Games Tuesday, April 13, 5:30 PM Join Crystal on Zoom for a virtual gaming session. Registration with an email is required to receive the link for Zoom. For grades 7-12. Homeschool Series Wednesdays, April 14, 21, 28, 10 AM This month we are inviting homeschoolers to explore COLOR. What is color? What can you do with it? Kits will be placed in the vestibule a week before the first session for you to pick up. Register early to reserve your kit and receive your Zoom link. Please register each child separately to ensure each child gets a kit. Inspired Readers Wednesday, April 14, 12 PM Join facilitator Peggy Wyar for a lively discussion of a different inspiring book each month. This event is held at the Harvest Christian Church, 907 Eastern Heights Blvd, Elyria. The title for April's meeting is Newton & Polly: A Novel of Amazing Grace, by Jody Hedlund. Copies of the title are available in the Library in advance of the meeting, while supplies last. Family Binge Boxes Friday, April 16, 4 PM Settle in for a movie marathon with one of our binge boxes. Register your family for a binge box containing 4 to 6 movies, snacks, and activities based on a surprise theme. One binge box per family. You need a library card to check out a binge box. Virtual Monthly Book Discussion Thursday, April 22, 7 PM Please join us for a lively and engaging online discussion of a chosen book title. April's featured title will be The Honey Bus: A Memoir of Loss, Courage, and a Girl Saved by Bees by Meredith May. Registration is now required to receive the Zoom link for participating and is open until 2 days before the event. Book copies are available for pick up at the Library through our contactless Take Out service starting approximately one month in advance of the discussion date. Please contact Maureen at the Library for questions relating to this club. Minecraft Mania Tuesday, April 27, 5:30 PM Youth participants join Zoom to play Minecraft in a one-of-a-kind experience. Minecraft Mania allows participants of all experience levels to complete challenges within Minecraft! Using multiplayer gameplay, patrons will work together to accomplish goals in competition and adventure-style programs. Every program consists of different challenges! New beginners are introduced to the game, and the advanced gamers will have their opportunity to put their Minecraft expertise to the test. For grades 4-12. Registration is required. Keeping it All in Perspective Digital Escape Room All month long. You're stuck in the art room until you can correctly unlock all four of the locks. Do you know your perspective drawing terms and techniques? Test your sleuthing skills in this digital escape room.
