FOR MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT Strong Libraries Build Strong Communities. I’ve supported public libraries since owning my first home. I am a lifelong library user and have always believed that a strong Library provides value to the community it serves. In the past twenty years, I’ve witnessed how public libraries make a difference every day, not through the lens of a homeowner but as an employee and administrator. I value my time in Grafton and enjoy leading a team of hard-working, service-oriented people. It’s just who we are and what we do. So many times, I hear a patron comment that Grafton-Midview Public Library is the best-kept secret in town. I thank them and ask that they pass this secret on. After all, strong libraries build strong communities, which shouldn’t be a secret! This New Year gives us a reason to celebrate our small but mighty Library as we enter its 80th year, first serving the Village of Grafton and then expanding to cover the Midview School District. We invite you to attend our celebratory event on January 20 as we reflect on our beginnings and plan for the future. We will introduce you to our new mobile cooking unit, the Charlie Cart. The cart is made available through a very generous donation. We plan to use this for culinary literacy classes with our children and adults. Attend one of our cooking demonstrations with Tami Mullins on January 20. While there, stop by the Doris Wildenheim Local History Room on the second floor to record your memories of the Library. It just might appear in our Postcards from Grafton podcast! Adele Infante Women of the Space Shuttle Traveling Exhibit All Throughout March
