Storytime @ Home Tuesday, May 4, 11, 10 AM Thursday, May 6, 13, 10:30 AM Butterflies in the Library May 17 - June 8 During Library Hours The nonprofit Center for Aging in the Digital World invites seniors to relax with a cup of coffee or tea and spend the morning in the comfort of their homes, discovering why and how to embrace "Digital Literacy" during this time of continued "physical distancing but never social distancing" and learning how to stay safer online. This year, GMPL is a proud partner of these live educational presentations on the important life-skills of the 21st century. Tales of the Torso Murderer Thursday, June 17, 6:30 PM Zoom Event Decades ago, the Torso Murderer terrorized Cleveland by killing at least twelve people, eluding legendary lawman Eliot Ness, and disappearing without a trace. Author Michael Jordan will discuss the crimes and how the murders inspired his novel, The Company of Demons. Nature Hike with the Metro Parks Fridays, June 25, July 23, August 27, 10 AM Take a naturalist-led walk on the diverse Sheldon Woods Trail to explore first-hand the variety of habitats and animal homes found in Lorain County. We will cover a different theme each month. On June 25th, explore What’s Happening in Nature. Bring your own binoculars, or use a pair provided by the Metro Parks, for Birdwatching on July 23rd. Masks are required. Exploring Watercolor at Willow Park Thursday, July 15, 5 PM Learn the basics of watercolor with instructor, Kathy Hyle. In the first hour, practice various techniques, and in the second hour, put those new skills to work by painting a beautiful scene.
