Music and Movement Thursdays at 10 AM June 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 Toddlers and high energy preschoolers will love this program! Learn your letters, explore numbers, and interact with a great story while you move to the music. This program will take place on the west lawn and driveway. Parent participation is encouraged! Nora the Explorer Saturday, June 19, 11 AM Let's explore some creepy, cute and cool critters with Nora the Explorer. Learn about animals from around the world. Feel the scales of a snake, the breeze off of a parrot's wings, or see a spider tip-toe. You'll be sure to leave with a fun fact or two. This program is outdoors. Stay at Home Scavenger Hunt Friday, July 16, 5 PM Our scavenger hunt is back and bigger than ever. How fast can you find your favorite stuffed animal? Flip-flops? Something that floats? Your family could win all the bragging rights in our virtual scavenger hunt. Please include an email when registering to receive a Zoom invitation. Virtual Music Production & Lyricism Tuesday, May 4, 4 PM For ages 14-18 only. Make some music! Learn how to create original tracks through the art of beat making, song writing, and rhyming taught by some of the most talented and professional MC's and producers from NYC! This program is partnered with the Elyria Public Library system. Teen Advisory Group Tuesday, May 11, 4 PM Teen Advisory Group and others interested in earning volunteer or community service hours, please join Crystal on the grassy area next to the Library to paint rocks for a program and to learn about earning service hours. Please follow social distancing guidelines. Masks are required. Registration is required. Rain date: 5/13. YA Book Bundles Monday, May 17, June 28, 12 PM Need something to read for the holiday weekend? Sign up for a YA Book Bundle. Book Bundles will include several Library books geared around a loose theme and other goodies. The books are checked out to your GMPL card. YA Book Bundles will be available for pick up starting Monday. May 17 at 12 PM. YA books are recommended for 12+. Content will not be screened during selection. DIY Face Masks & Scrubs Tuesday, May 18, 5 PM Join the teen librarian in this Zoom event as she demonstrates a variety of face masks & scrubs that you can make from home. Participants who register and attend the program will receive a bag of supplies to create their own masks and scrubs. Sharpie Tie Dyed T-Shirts Tuesday, June 8, 4 PM Join us as we tie dye t-shirts with Sharpie markers. Registration is required. This program will be held in person at the gazebo in downtown Grafton. Participants will receive a free copy of the journal. Pages & Pizza Thursday, July 29, 4 PM This year we will be reading, The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. Check out the movie, Chaos Walking , and then join us for Pages & Pizza. We will discuss the book over pizza at the gazebo in downtown Grafton. Please register early as spots are limited. Participants may pick up their books on Tuesday, June 1. Registration begins on April 1. Free Comic Book Day for Teens Monday, August 16, 12 PM The Teen Zone will be giving away free comics to Teens on the Monday after Free Comic Book Day. All comics are rated for teenagers. Monthly Digital Escape Room May - Birthday Party Puzzler Figure out where the party supplies are for your big day. June - Mindful Maddie Mindful Maddie will help you practice mindfulness. Break the toolbox of mindfulness as you solve clues to escape. July - Field Day Fun The Critter Crew is ready to compete, but they need your help. Help the gang unlock challenges to receive their medal.
